Acute Medicine Center KBC Split-Firule

We view the planned construction of the acute medicine center at KBC Firule in Split as an addition to one of the largest and most complex buildings in Split. The addition establishes a dialogue with the existing hospital structure, relying on the concept of architect Zoja Dumengić, respecting the requirements of modern medical technology.

Due to the functionality of connecting departments, the addition follows the dimensions of the existing structure, while the question of modern medical technology requirements is resolved by planning installations on the facade. This solution anticipates future needs for additional installations due to the very nature of the hospital complex as a perpetual construction site.
